Dr. Kerri Katsalis -

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Katsalis received her Bachelor of Arts degree in pre-veterinary medicine with minors in chemistry and environmental biology in 1980 from Augustana College, Rock Island, Il. While working on a PhD program in Biotechnology and Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology she worked in the chemistry field and then in the pharmaceutical field dealing with FDA regulations of pharmaceuticals. In 1986 she was accepted into the veterinary program at Ross University in New York, with their base located on the Island of St. Kitts, West Indies. She purchased Ridge Animal Clinic in 2000. It has certainly been quite an experience watching the clinic grow over the years. She enjoys practicing general veterinary medicine and surgery, especially with a dedicated and caring team who are always looking to improve their clinical knowledge and skills. Along with Dino and her daughter Gabrielle, Dr.Katsalis shares her home with their Shorkie Zu Tank.

Mary Wegrzyn -

Office Manager

Mary has lived in Lansing most of her life. She has been married for over 25 years to Barry and they have 4 children. Emily, Michael, Anna, and Patrick. She also has 3 cats, Clawed, Elf and Fred, a snake, a guinea pig named Albert, a turtle named Stanley and 2 hermit crabs.

Mary has worked at Ridge Animal Clinic since 2006. She takes care of the clinic’s monthly bills. She also helps Dr. Katsalis with any clinic needs.





Becky Lapkovich -

Veterinary Technician

Becky joined Ridge Animal Clinic in March of 2002. During that time, she has learned and grown personally and professionally. She loves the furry clients and well as their people! She will go out of her way to make sure the clients and their pets feel comfortable.

In her free time, she enjoys riding horses and spending time with her husband Bryan and their furry family.




Christine Kowalik -

Veterinary Technician

Christine is a 1987 graduate of Parkland College, Veterinary Technician program in Champaign, Illinois. She is a licensed technician in Indiana and Illinois. She joined the Ridge family in July 2010 and even after all these years is still very enthusiastic about the Veterinary profession.

Chris is a Crown Point, In resident who shares her home with her husband Dan and their 2 dogs. Sonja, a Doberman and Jessie, a Black Lab mix, who was rescued from the Humane Society in 2003.

In her free time, Chris enjoys crossword puzzles and being physically active out in her yard and flowerbeds.


Yessenia Morales -

Veterinary Technician

Yessenia is originally from Guatemala and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She joined Ridge Animal Clinic in 2006. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality. She is currently attending Penn Foster and is in the process of becoming a licensed registered veterinary technician. Yessenia is the keeper and helper of all animals no matter the species! She has helped raise and release squirrels, raccoon’s and opossum. She truly has a passion for all animals and she wants to educate all owners how to care for their pets.

In her free time, Yessenia loves to draw and spend time with her son and their many pets.



Kristi Mizwicki -

Veterinary Technician/Reception

Kristie has been working at Ridge Animal Clinic since the summer of 2012, but her experience goes much further. She has been working in the animal health field for over 15 years. When not working, she spends the remainder of her time with her son Jacob and her 120 lb Mastiff, Titan.






Lynn Bell -

Receptionist

Lynn moved to the area from Maine in 1990. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1994. Taking a break only to stay home with her two daughters. She joined the staff at Ridge Animal Clinic in 2004.

Lynn has been married to her husband Richard since 1992 and they both share a passion for animals. Lynn, Richard and their two daughters Rachel and Sarah, share their home with Lula, a Dachshund mix who was abandoned at the clinic, Lily, a short haired calico and Norma Louise a sweet kitten that needed a home. She also has 3 hermit crabs, 5 African clawed frogs, many fish and a “Grandcat” named Ronnie.

Lynn enjoys her job working with the clients and their “furry” families and in her spare time enjoys reading, visiting relatives in Maine and spending time with her husband and daughters.


Michelle Lincheta -

Receptionist

Michelle joined our staff in December of 2013, but has worked in veterinary clinics for the last 24 years. She has been married for 32 years and has 1 son. She is the proud owner of 3 Doberman’s, and 1 Chihuahua. She is also a certified medical assistant. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys reading and spending time with her family and pets.







Val Rietveld -

Receptionist

Val joined the Ridge Animal Clinic team in 2005. She grew up in Lansing and used to be a client herself at Ridge.

Val shares her home with her canine and feline “fuzzies” and loves her daily interaction with our clients and their pets. She feels right at home here with her second family!
